Linda Faye Snipes

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Fay Upton-Snipes, age 85, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend who went to be with the Lord, March 9, 2025. She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by family in Lewisburg, TN.

Linda lived the majority of her life in Memphis, TN., and was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. She enjoyed her career in furniture sales and her hobby of collecting antiques. Linda was a truly wonderful Christian person who cherished her family and friends.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Grace Tignor, husbands, Bill Upton and Henry (Buck) Snipes as well as her brother Charles Tignor and sister Marie Stockton. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa U. Ross (Gary), son Randy Upton (Cathy), grandchildren, Hailey A. Wilkerson, Cody Upton, Shannon U. Mcateer, and 3 great-grandchildren.

Her loving, kind, joyful spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Linda will be buried at Beech Bluff Cemetery in Beech Bluff, TN., with her memorial at a later date.
